JEL Media Arts Students Covered the Event

MSD Washington Township had a visit this week from a candidate for the governor’s office and State Superintendent Glenda Ritz to tour the J. Everett Light Career Center and get a first-hand look at the programs offered at this career center.

J. Everett Light Career Center serves high school students from 12 school corporations in Marion, Boone and Hamilton counties.  The career center integrates core academics with real-world relevance.  Courses are designed to help students prepare for a range of careers including communications, training in the area of early childhood education, a variety of health science areas,  computer repair, emergency medical technician, law enforcement, automotive technology, cosmetology/barbering, design, veterinary assistance, and welding.  If you want to learn more about the center and its offerings, visit their website http://jelcc.com
