MSD Wayne provides ten polling sites for community, professional development for staff on Election Day

wayneelectiondayIn a media statement, MSD Wayne Township Chief Communications Officer, Mary Lang, shared that while students did not have classes on election day, “it has been a busy day in the district nonetheless.”

MSD Wayne staff members spent the day in professional development at Ben Davis High School. Hundreds of classes were available to staff members, including methods of teaching difficult science concepts, women’s self defense, and using databases to improve learning.

While staff members gathered at Ben Davis, voters in MSD Wayne used ten of the district’s school buildings as polling sites.

“We’re proud to be able to provide places for our community members to exercise their right to vote,” said MSD Wayne Superintendent Jeff Butts.  “It’s been a great day for our schools and community to be engaged in learning and in our nation’s political process.”
