Congratulations to Reese Taylor, quarterback for the Ben Davis Giants in MSD of Wayne Township. Reese is the 2017 IndyStar Mr. Football, the state’s highest individual honor for a senior high school football player.
The IndyStar referred to Taylor as “the spark to an offense that averaged 501 yards and 47.4 points per game.” Taylor has committed to play football at Indiana University next year.
The Giants won the 2017 Class 6A state football championship on November 25.
“”I have to pinch myself right now,'” Taylor told the Star. “‘A state championship and Mr. Football for Ben Davis.'”

Indiana’s urban schools offer Hoosier students a rich array of programs, services, and opportunities. IUSA appreciates the opportunity to share the stories that demonstrate what the schools have to offer and the many successes their students, faculty and staff achieve.
