Between the two competitions (both against Warren Central) the North Central Best Buddy Chapter took on the Warren Central Best Buddy Chapter in an eight- minute, uninterrupted game. In this game, students in the Best Buddies program play alongside of their peer Buddies, they will wear jerseys representing their school, and experience the importance of being a part of a team.
In a quote before the game, North Central Best Buddies Chapter President, Skylar Wilson, said, “Best Buddies is an amazing organization that works to promote the inclusion of those with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This will be our fourth annual basketball game. The game is a chance for our buddies and peers to come together and be supported by our school.”
Best Buddies® is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
