Congratulations to Monroe County Community School Corporation’s Outstanding Educators and to Janice L. Bergeson, Director of Secondary Education at Monroe County Community School Corporation for her Lifetime Achievement Award from the Franklin Initiative
The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce’s Franklin Initiative is honoring several educators and educational programs at its upcoming awards dinner at the Monroe Convention Center. Jan Bergeson, Director of Secondary Education, an eight-year veteran of the Monroe County Community Schools, will be among the honorees. She will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding longtime commitment to education.
Additionally, five MCCSC educators will be honored as 2017 Outstanding Educators. As a result of their recognition, their schools will each receive a $500 donation from Solution Tree, and each of them will attend an all-expense paid participation in a two-day Solution Tree workshop. Congratulations to these 2017 Outstanding Educators:
- Mitch Bratton, Assistant Director of Special Education for MCCSC
Luke Chanley, Business/Technology Teacher at Jackson Creek Middle School
Bryan Ford, Bridges Teacher at Batchelor Middle School
Adam Terwilliger, Math Department Chair at Bloomington High School North
Whitney Thomas, Student and Family Advocate at Fairview Elementary
