Indiana’s urban schools are preparing the next generation for future college and careers. In Fort Wayne Community Schools, high school juniors and seniors were invited to a job fair  to learn more about manufacturing and skills trades. Twenty-five local manufacturing and skilled trades company owners and managers were invited to give students the chance to find out more about the companies as well as employment and internship opportunities, some of which are available to students while still in high school.

The job fair is being hosted in partnership between FWCS College and Career Readiness program and the Gateway Coalition, dedicated to bringing together Allen County employers and educators. FWCS expresses its appreciation to the may participating local businesses, including:

  • Brooks Construction Company
  • Carlex Glass of Indiana
  • CME Corp.
  • Fetters Construction
  • Fort Wayne Metals
  • Franklin Electric
  • Group Delphi
  • Jack Laurie Group
