Arsenal Tech High school students in Indianapolis Public Schools spent a semester creating storyboards, selecting images and sounds, and learning basic software design.

The class is the result of with IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI. It’s part of the school’s Informatics Diversity-Enhanced Workforce (iDEW) program. IUPUI professors and students work alongside Tech teachers to help the students learn the ins and outs of computer science — from coding to Website design.

Follow the link to read all about the program and learn more about some apps and designs the Arsenal Tech students created.

Indiana’s urban schools offer Hoosier students a rich array of programs, services, and opportunities. IUSA appreciates the opportunity to share the stories that demonstrate what the schools have to offer and the many successes their students, faculty and staff achieve.
