Congratulations to the Goshen Middle School and Goshen High School students whose performances brought them awards and recognition during the 2016 Indiana Music Education Association Competition. Four students won their categories and will go on to receive statewide recognition of their compositions at the IMEA convention in January.
Nathan Berkey won High School Orchestra for his composition “The Magistrate’s Arrival”, Sam Stoltzfus won Middle School Chamber for “Battle Shore”, Josh Schrock won Middle School Arranging for his arrangement of the “Theme from Fallout 4”, and Daniel Elizalde for Middle School Orchestra composing “Pluckish Dysphoria” which the 8th grade orchestra performed this fall.
This year’s All Region Orchestra members from Goshen included: … Aysia Adkins, Jocsan Barahona Rosales, Alex Berkey, Emma Burgos, Ava Chupp, Emilee Edmonds, Denver Edwards, Christina Herrmann, Lauren Kauffman, Samantha Markham, Brenton Pham, Alexia Potter, Joshua Schrock, Calista Swartzendruber, and Reghan Yoder.
