Congratulations to the Franklin Township Middle School West Junior Thespian group in Franklin Township Community School Corp. They hold the distinction of being the only middle school to compete with high schools in the Indiana Thespians 2017 Regional Conference Competition. The team not only competed with high school teams, they placed 2nd! This talented group of students are now going to the Indiana Thespian state competition in late January and are the only middle school to qualify for the state competition.
“This is a pretty big honor as we were one of the only middle schools to qualify for the state competition” said Franklin Township Middle School West Principal, Matt Vandermark, adding “Pretty awesome really!”
IUSA joins Franklin Township Community School Corporation in congratulating the Junior Thespian group and wishing them continued success.
This post was created thanks to a collaboration with Dr. Sheila L. Sherman, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment, Franklin Township Community School Corporation.
Indiana’s urban schools offer Hoosier students a rich array of programs, services, and opportunities. IUSA appreciates the opportunity to share the stories that demonstrate what the schools have to offer and the many successes their students, faculty and staff achieve.
