It is great to see stories about Indiana’s urban schools that show how they  provide an array of programs, services, and opportunities for their students and families. Recently Franklin Central High School in Franklin Township Community Schools was featured in the Southside Tribune for its event hosting local poet, Adrian Matejka.  According to the article, attendees included Mayor Joe Hogsett, dignitaries from the Indiana Department of Education, the Mayor’s office, Franklin Township School Board, Franklin Road Library, Franklin Township Education Foundation, Superintendent Shaffer, and many others.
