Congratulations to Matt Schiebel, principal of Shawnee Middle School in Fort Wayne Community Schools

Matt Schiebel, posted a letter that editors of The Journal Gazette voted the most effective letter to the editor in 2016.  Matt’s letter was published June 21, 2016.

According to The Journal Gazette story, Schiebel, 52, has been principal at Shawnee Middle School the past 9 years, continuing the tradition of what he calls a “Fort Wayne Community Schools family.” (His parents taught in the district, his two children attend Snider High School and his wife – a one-time school nurse – works for Parkview Hospital.) He’s spent his entire 28-year education career at FWCS, all of it as a teacher or administrator at the middle-school level.
