With the support of several community partners, the Fort Wayne Community Schools‘ (FWCS) Study Connection is hosting Cupcakes & Cocktails for a cause, an event to support FWCS’ Study Connection after-school tutoring program. Tickets are now on sale for the June 6th event that takes place at the Philmore on Broadway. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.studyconnection.org.
The evening includes a brief ceremony to highlight Study Connection tutors and the significant impact that an investment of time, talent or treasure can have on the lives of the children in the FWCS. Attendees also will taste test cupcakes from local bakeries and vote on their favorites as part of the Cupcake Clash. Additional catering provided by Calhoun Street Soups, Salads and Spirits and live jazz music by the Phil Schurger Trio.
Proceeds from the Cupcakes & Cocktails fundraiser benefit FWCS Study Connection, an after-school tutoring program that matches students with employees and volunteers at area businesses and organizations through the community. Students and tutors meet for one hour once a week to provide consistent academic assistance and mentoring to students who may not otherwise receive it. For more information about Study Connection or the Cupcakes & Cocktails event, call 260-467-8810.
