Elkhart Community Schools recognizes its faculty and staff throughout the year in their Elkhart Community Schools blog. A recent post, however, features not just a teacher, but her students. The story of Ms. Kristi Ray and the growth her students are achieving under her tutelage is one of mutual respect for the hard work each brings to the teaching and learning environment.
Noteworthy is that Ms. Ray’s 4th grade students at Bristol Elementary achieved 100% high growth in math over last year’s ISTEP+ assessment. The class of 22 students, includes those with special needs and English Language learners, and all of them achieved 100% high growth in mathematics.
