Congratulations to Joel Bailey, a 2017 graduate of Ben Davis University High School (BDU) in MSD of Wayne Township. Joel, who is majoring in engineering at Wabash College, was named a National Merit Scholar! He received a corporate scholarship from Citizen Watch Company of America, Inc. which raised his status from National Merit Finalist to National Merit Scholar.
The National Merit Scholarship is a highly competitive program. More than 1.5 million students enter the National Merit Competition based on PSAT scores. Of those, 15,000 are named Finalists and 7,500 are named Scholars.
Thanks to the partnership between MSD of Wayne Township and Vincennes University, Joel graduated BDU in 2017 with an Information Technology emphasis Associates Degree. Other degree programs offered at BDU include:
- Associates of General Studies Degree – Liberal Arts
- Associates of General Studies Degree – Business Management
- Associates of General Studies Degree – Health Careers
