As reported by Ms. Kaufman from Beech Grove, students were invited by the National FFA Foundation Director to share success stories of their local program funded by the Foundation. The Foundation also is interested to hear from the students how they can better use their resources for FFA members. This open dialogue helps FFA in their future funding decisions. “The students represented the FFA and Beech Grove FFA with poise, confidence, and insight that made me proud,” said Ms. Kaufman.
Representatives from many large companies are members of the Foundation Board, i.e., Dow AgroSciences, Archer Daniels Midland, Tyson Foods, Ford Trucks, DuPont Pioneer, Monsanto, and John Deere, just to name a few!
Two students from each grade attended the Foundation meeting: Seniors: Abigail Strahla and Allison Merritt; Juniors: Daniel Newton and Elizabeth Strahla; Sophomores: Lillian Ferguson and Joseph Stewart; and Freshman: Faith Wolfe and Joseph Petree.
