Congratulations to Bruce and Ilze Bye. Mr. and Mrs. Bye are the 2nd Quarter Centennial Award winners sponsored by Eckstein Shoes in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Beech Grove High School.
Ilze and Bruce have a strong connection with their Beech Grove City School community, going back to the days when their children were in elementary school. Their service to the school has included PTA leadership, band parent association, fundraising, school board service, and a continuing advocacy and commitment to the Beech Grove High School (BGHS) for its agricultural science program. They established the Bye Family Scholarship fund to provide a $2,000 scholarship reward to one male and one female student selected based on participation in high school athletics and class rank. The endowment also recognizes a group of 40 high school students annually, ten in each grade, as scholar athletes, presenting them with a pin and placing their photo on display at the school.
Please join Eckstein Shoes, BGHS and the Beech Grove City Schools in expressing appreciation for the continued support, advocacy, and volunteer efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Bye. Follow the link to watch Mr. Rande Clevenger, Assistant Principal at BGHS interview the Bye family.
