A bronze statue of former Harlem Globetrotters basketball star and Anderson High School Indians alumni, “Jumpin’ Johnny Wilson” now sits on the front lawn of Anderson High School. The school partnered with local artist Kenneth G. Ryden to commemorate the former Indians alumni who’s accomplishments include captaining the Anderson High School Indians basketball team in the 1940’s, a star player at Anderson College, and member of the Harlem Globetrotters.

The statue is a reminder that hard work, dedication, and education can help anyone achieve their goals.
