Last fall, Anderson Community Schools (ACS) administration asked Principals to help showcase some of the amazing things happening at ACS. After a lengthy review process, three students were chosen as they each have gone above and beyond the classroom to achieve great things. The winners selected are: Jocelyn Chubb, AHS Senior (whose video was a feature in the IUSA post on February 3rd), Logan Knight, HMS 8th grader, and Olivia Morris, Eastside Elementary 5th grader.
Follow the link to watch the video spotlighting Logan Knight. Logan talks about his experience in Highland Middle School. The video is as much a testimony to Logan as it is to his band teacher, Myron Taylor and an example of how supported Logan feels at his school.
ACS expressed its appreciation for the generosity of Community Hospital, their Story Shop partners who went behind the scenes to create documentaries of the lives of these three ACS students.
In closing, ACS shared that it is proud of its teachers and their relentless pursuit of providing our students with a top notch education in a safe learning environment. Thank you for all you do each day to make the lives of our students a little better, a little brighter, and above all, a little more amazing.

Indiana’s urban schools offer Hoosier students a rich array of programs, services, and opportunities. IUSA appreciates the opportunity to share the stories that demonstrate what the schools have to offer and the many successes their students, faculty and staff achieve.
