Anderson High School’s Brain Game team is a finalist for the Best Madison County Community Story. On February 23rd, at 6:00 p.m. at the Madison Park Church of God, Madison County will come together to showcase some of the best and brightest individuals in the area. Each year the Chamber of Commerce honors the “best of the best” with an evening of food, music and fellowship.
In addition to honoring one of Anderson’s teachers, members of the 2015-16 Anderson High School Academic Team were selected as one of the three finalists for “Best Madison County Community Story Finalist.” AHS’ Academic team distinguished themselves this past spring by coming within one point of beating North Central High School in the championship round of WTHR’s ‘Brain Game’ competition. “North Central High School has held the title for the last 5 years and it was an honor to compete with such amazing talent”, said Principal Davis. ‘This was obviously the closest championship game we’ve ever had,’ said Brain Game host Chuck Lofton. The final score was NCHS 35, AHS 34.
