Since September of 2015, the Chief Operations Officer, Dr. Joseph Cronk, has worked diligently with his staff to explore new and innovative ways to reduce facility costs. Each building has since undergone an extensive energy review process to determine how and where cost savings could be made. This hard work paid off. Inefficient and broken HVAC systems have been replaced with energy efficient units, regulating building temperatures while not in use, and switching to LCD monitors and televisions. These efforts saved the corporation and its taxpayers over $97,000.
“By taking a closer look at our operations,” said Dr. Cronk, “we’ve been able to substantially decrease costs for the entire Corporation. We will continue to be diligent in our quest for best practices.”
